SAINSBURYS
PERFECT CHRISTMAS
‘beep’
Sainsburys & SPORT RELIEF
The theme for Sainsbury’s Christmas food was ‘Perfect’, so this ad trailed a competition where a street in the UK would win the Perfect Christmas.
The winning street, Seabank Road in Wallasey, enjoyed guaranteed snow, a male-voice choir, a live nativity, fireworks, a huge tree, Christmas lights, and all-you-can-eat Sainsburys Christmas food. But not Jamie.
Coverage of the winning street is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRm9g282zeQ
Directed by Adrian Moat.
The campaign drove an 8% increase in sales and a 34% increase in ROI, and saw the brand leapfrogging Asda in market share.
This campaign gave Sainsbury’s the strongest Christmas results they’d ever had.
Directed by Justin Chadwick.

SINGLE-TAKE TASTE
Launching the Taste positioning needed a lot of VO so we added interest by filming it in a single-take. Jamie wore an earbud, so I read the script and he simultaneously repeated exactly what I said. He’s an amazing performer - the only problem was that he kept slipping into an Essex/Sunderland accent. Directed by the lovely Peter Cattaneo.
